Tennessee Tech University, located in a college town of Cookeville, located in the Upper Cumberland Plateau in Middle Tennessee, Cookeville has a population of 30,000 people (the surrounding vicinity here has over 100,000 residents), which makes the region feel more metropolitan than it really is…  Located 1 hour east of Nashville, the Nashville International Airport (BNA) serves this regions students.

Located between three of Tennessee’s largest metropolitan cities, Music City USA, Nashville, located East of Tech, Nashville is famous as the home to many famous singers-like Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Kesha; East of TennesseeTech – is the city of Knoxville, South- Chattanooga and we are 2 hours from the Great Smoky Mountains, which is most visited National Park in the USA with over 40 million visitors annually.

This region is famous for the beautiful nature and peaceful lakes, waterfalls and rivers. Tennessee Tech is surrounded by 3 State Parks and the region has hundreds of waterfalls, lakes, mountains and rivers, with the most ecologically diverse climate comparable to the Amazon River.

Tennessee Tech, or TTU as it is known in the South, is accredited by SACSCOS, offering over 125 majors-concentrations within the 7 colleges (the College of Business; College of Engineering; College of Education; College of Arts & Sciences; College of Agriculture & Human Ecology; College of Fine Arts; College of Interdisciplinary Studies).  Plus, the School of Nursing and Pre-Medical Professional Program for students interested in going to Medical School!

Tennessee Tech is a Nationally ranked university, ranked as one of the best Public Universities, and TennesseeTech is nationally ranked in Computer Science, Business, Engineering and Nursing.

Our Engineering program is ABET accredited, and our Business program is AACSB accredited.  TennesseeTech University is considered one of the best values for the money in the United States when it comes to university cost comparisons. Tech offers a variety of options and courses.

Some of our Centers: include:  The Career Services which helps students find internships, CO-OPS, and post-graduation job placements. The Center for ESL which offers 5 levels, a Pathway program, TOEFL waivers for those who finish level 4 or 5, and offers 2 sessions each semester.  Check it out at www.tntech.edu/CESL/. The Maker Space were students present their ideas and students would get investors for these ideas, that help the students make the idea become a reality and get former alumni at TTU to help fund the set up.
